Job summary

Brightview Senior Living is seeking a Dining Services Director to lead and coach our dining team, advocating for residents and delivering exceptional service, delicious meals, and engaging dining options. You will build and manage a dining staff, plan budgets, maintain a clean, safe kitchen and dining areas, and collaborate with other departments on marketing and resident satisfaction initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, focus in culinary, hospitality, or food management.
• 2–4 years of food service management experience in hospitality (country club, banquets).
• Ability to lead a large diverse team from dishwashers to chefs.
• Current Safe Serve or other relevant certification.
• Experience in food preparation.
• Ability to plan and manage a budget.
• Ability to analyze reports.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Strong communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Build, develop and manage all dining associates and establish a plan communicating with residents, families and guests to ensure excellent care and nutrition.
• Engage with residents during meal service to ensure dining experiences exceed expectations and solicit feedback on menu preferences and satisfaction.
• Assist in developing and maintaining the dining services budget, develop vendor relationships, and ensure kitchen and dining areas are clean, safe, and well maintained.
• Collaborate with other departments to support marketing and public relations of the community and participate in special Brightview projects.
