Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living is seeking a Dining Services Director to lead the community dining program, ensuring nutritious meals and excellent hospitality. You will develop the dining team, manage daily kitchen and dining operations, and coordinate with vendors and leadership to maintain compliance with food safety, infection control, and budget standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with culinary training or 3–5 years of culinary experience.
• Applicable state/county licensure required.
• Food Manager Certification, or ability to obtain, is required.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Previous staff management and/or coaching experience preferred.
• Experience in a senior living community preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR-related systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervises 10–15 dining services staff.
• Schedule staff and manage coverage.
• Maintain communications with vendors and leadership.
• Support catering, room service, events, and marketing activities.
• Manage inventories, food costs, and budgeting.
• Train staff on operation, maintenance, and cleaning of kitchen equipment.
• Ensure safety and compliance with food safety guidelines.
• Recruit and hire dining staff; conduct onboarding.
• Lead monthly staff in-service meetings and committees.
• Collaborate with sales/marketing to support resident satisfaction.
