Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living is seeking a Dining Services Director to lead all aspects of the community’s dining program, ensuring nutritious meals and superior hospitality for residents, families, and guests. This role oversees the dining team, coordinates with vendors, and partners with leadership to maintain safety, quality, and budgetary standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with culinary training OR 3–5 years of culinary experience required.
• Applicable state/county licensure required.
• Food Manager Certification, or ability to obtain, is required.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Previous staff management and/or coaching and mentoring dining services team experience preferred.
• Experience in a senior living community preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital tools used in operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervises 10-15 dining staff in daily operations.
• Schedule staff and provide coverage as needed.
• Maintain communication with vendors and leadership teams.
• Coordinate catering, room service, and resident events.
• Manage inventories and control food costs within budget.
• Train staff on kitchen equipment and service procedures.
• Support marketing efforts to enhance resident satisfaction.
