Job summary

The Dining Services Director at Cedarhurst Senior Living leads the community's dining program to ensure nutritious, high-quality meals and hospitality for residents, families, and guests. This role supervises 10–15 dining staff, manages menus, inventory, budget, and equipment, and partners with vendors and leadership to meet safety and service standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with culinary training or 3–5 years of culinary experience.
• Applicable state/county licensure required.
• Food Manager Certification, or ability to obtain, is required.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Previous staff management and/or coaching and mentoring of dining services team experience is preferred.
• Experience in a senior living community is preferred.
• Proficiency with common digital tools including Microsoft Office and health-record platforms.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 10–15 employees in daily dining service operations.
• Schedule staff on an ongoing basis and ensure coverage when needed.
• Maintain good communication with vendors and leadership teams.
• Support catering, room service, and marketing-related activities.
• Manage inventory and keep food costs within budget.
