Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living is seeking a Dining Services Director to lead the community dining program, manage the team, and ensure high-quality meals and hospitality for residents, families, and guests.

You will oversee menu planning, food preparation, and special events while coordinating with vendors and regional dining leadership to meet food safety and budget standards. This role blends coaching with hands-on operations and collaboration.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 3–5 years culinary experience required.
• Food Manager Certification required or ability to obtain.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Experience in a senior living community preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, web platforms, EHR and HR systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervises 10–15 dining staff in daily operations.
• Schedule staff and ensure adequate coverage.
• Maintain vendor and leadership communication and manage inventories within budget.
• Train staff and oversee kitchen equipment operation and safety.
• Support marketing and sales efforts to enhance satisfaction and community needs.
