Job summary

Cedarhurst Living is seeking a Dining Services Director to lead the community’s dining program, ensuring nutritious meals and exceptional hospitality for residents and guests.

The role manages the dining team, oversees kitchen operations, and partners with vendors and leadership to meet food safety, infection control, and budget standards. It also supports resident satisfaction and marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with culinary training or 3–5 years of culinary experience.
• State/county licensure required.
• Food Manager Certification required or ability to obtain.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Experience managing dining staff and in a senior living setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise 10–15 dining staff and ensure meals meet high standards.
• Schedule staff and ensure coverage within budget.
• Maintain vendor relationships and coordinate with leadership.
• Oversee food inventories and control costs.
• Create recipes and train kitchen staff on procedures.
• Support marketing and resident satisfaction initiatives.
• Recruit, orientate, and hire dining staff.
