Job summary

Ciel Senior Living is seeking a Dining Room Supervisor to oversee dining rooms and bistro areas, lead the dining service team, and ensure exceptional dining experiences for residents, families, and guests. You will mentor servers, hosts, and bussers, manage service schedules, and uphold food safety standards, while maintaining a welcoming environment in line with our mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business administration, or a related field.
• Proven managerial experience in a dining or hospitality setting, preferably in a senior living environment.
• Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate and guide a team.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Proficiency in English reading and writing.

Responsibilities

• Lead dining service staff (servers, hosts, food runners, bussers) to build a cohesive team.
• Oversee daily dining operations in dining rooms and bistro areas.
• Coordinate meal service timing and resident meal reservations.
• Prepare monthly staff schedules 30 days in advance within budgeted hours.
• Plan daily pre-meal meetings with Sous Chef and service team.
• Ensure high standards of service, etiquette, and resident satisfaction.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and sanitary dining environments.
• Manage inventory of dining supplies and coordinate with Food Service Director on costs.
• Interact with residents to understand preferences and address feedback.
• Assist with seating, service, and presence in dining areas during meals.
• Contribute to annual dining room operating budget and cost control.
