Cedarhurst Senior Living in Kentucky is seeking a Part-time Dining Server to deliver exceptional dining experiences for residents and guests. You will assist with daily meal service, events, and room service while maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards.

The role emphasizes teamwork, communication with residents and families, cost awareness, and adherence to Cedarhurst’s high dining standards. A high school diploma is required; prior senior living experience is a plus, with CPR/BLS

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Up to two years of prior experience preferred, with senior living experience strongly desired.
• Relevant state or county licensure preferred, with ability to obtain licensure if required.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, web platforms, EHR systems, and HR-related tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with catering, room service, special events, and marketing functions.
• Take food and beverage orders and deliver service courteously and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary work area and follow food safety standards.
• Clear, sanitize, and reset tables; manage trash and daily checklists.
• Assist with cleaning dining areas, floors, and furniture after meals and events.
• Adapt service to residents' dining preferences and needs.
• Support cost-control by minimizing waste and using supplies responsibly.
• Follow recipes and ingredient labels for consistent food preparation.
• Operate, maintain, and clean kitchen equipment safely.
• Communicate menu details clearly to residents and guests.
• Prepare and maintain table settings to Cedarhurst standards.
• Stay current on FDA, state, and local food handling guidelines.
• Follow infection control guidelines and PPE requirements.
