Job summary

Americare Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Dietary Manager to lead dining services in our Columbia, MO community. You will oversee foodservice operations, supervise staff, manage budgets, and ensure high-quality, safe meals that support resident satisfaction and quality of life.

In this leadership role, you’ll collaborate with dietitians and other departments, uphold safety standards, and foster a warm, family-like culture.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• ServSafe Certification preferred or willingness to obtain shortly after hire.
• Experience in quantity food production, preferably in healthcare or senior living.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Supervise foodservice staff, including hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with dietary regulations, company policies, and food safety standards.
• Plan and oversee meal preparation based on dietitian-approved menus.
• Maintain budgets, manage inventory, and order food and supplies.
• Collaborate with community departments to ensure resident-centered care.
• Uphold sanitation, infection control, and food safety standards.
• Coordinate with Registered Dietitians and participate in resident care planning.
• Communicate professionally with inspectors and regulatory agencies.
• Promote a positive dining culture aligned with Americare’s values and Hometown Hospitality.
