Loyalhanna Senior Suites in Latrobe, PA is seeking a Dietary Manager to lead the dietary department and elevate our dining program for residents and staff. This role focuses on menu development, team leadership, and maintaining high food quality and safety standards.

You will drive initiatives to enhance resident dining experiences, coordinate special meals and events, and partner with administration to ensure compliant, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Previous food service leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience in senior living, personal care, healthcare, or similar settings.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Experience with staff scheduling, inventory, and department organization.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to train employees and hold team members accountable.
• Ability to work collaboratively with residents, families, staff, and leadership.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Genuine interest in providing an excellent dining experience for older adults.
• ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, schedule, train, and support dietary staff.
• Oversee daily meal preparation and dining services.
• Maintain consistent standards for food quality, taste, temperature, appearance, and portioning.
• Plan and coordinate menus in accordance with resident needs and preferences.
• Work with residents and staff to identify food preferences and opportunities to improve the dining experience.
• Coordinate special meals, holidays, resident events, and other dining programs.
• Order food, supplies, and equipment while managing inventory and controlling waste.
• Monitor staffing and department expenses.
• Maintain proper food storage, labeling, dating, rotation, and sanitation practices.
• Ensure the kitchen, food preparation areas, equipment, storage areas, and dining areas are clean, organized, and maintained appropriately.
• Maintain required dietary documentation, records, logs, and department systems.
• Follow applicable food safety and sanitation requirements.
• Ensure dietary operations comply with Pennsylvania Personal Care Home requirements and other laws.
• Participate in inspections, surveys, quality improvement activities, and corrective action.
• Work collaboratively with the Administrator, Wellness Department, and other leaders.
• Address resident and family concerns related to dining services promptly and professionally.
• Assist with food preparation and meal service when necessary.
• Develop and maintain a positive, accountable, resident-focused dietary team.
