Job summary

Paramount Senior Living is seeking a Dietary Manager to direct and coordinate all food service operations, ensuring quality meals, regulatory compliance, resident satisfaction, and department efficiency.

The role requires overseeing daily dietary operations, leading staff, managing budgets, maintaining sanitation standards, and adhering to state, federal, and facility regulations. Strong leadership and budgeting skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of management experience in a dietary/food service healthcare environment.
• Experience with meal planning, therapeutic diets, and diet lists.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all dietary department operations to ensure high-quality meal service and resident satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with dietary regulations, sanitation standards, infection control, and food safety requirements.
• Maintain meal ticket accuracy, therapeutic diets, production sheets, resident diet lists, and menu compliance.
• Recruit, train, coach, and supervise dietary staff while fostering a positive work environment.
• Manage departmental budgets, labor costs, scheduling, purchasing, and inventory controls.
• Monitor resident satisfaction and ensure nutritional needs are met through quality programs.
• Maintain readiness for regulatory surveys and inspections.

Position Summary

The Dietary Manager is responsible for directing, coordinating, and managing all food service operations to ensure quality meal service, regulatory compliance, resident satisfaction, and department efficiency. The successful candidate will oversee daily dietary operations, lead staff, manage budgets, maintain sanitation standards, and ensure compliance with all applicable state, federal, and facility regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of management experience in a dietary, food service, healthcare, senior living, rehabilitation, or long-term care environment.
• Previous food service and meal preparation experience required.
• Skilled nursing experience is strongly preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of meal ticket systems, therapeutic diets, production sheets, resident diet lists, and dietary documentation.
• Working knowledge of state, federal, and Department of Health regulations related to dietary services in skilled nursing and long-term care settings.
• Experience overseeing food safety, sanitation, infection control, food storage, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong leadership, scheduling, budgeting, and staff development skills.
