Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in Howard Lake, MN is seeking a part-time dietary cook to prepare, assemble baked goods, and serve meals to residents, staff and visitors, following menus and dietary guidelines.

The role requires reading, writing and basic math, HACCP awareness, and teamwork. Shifts are 6:00am–1:00pm, four 7-hour days (28 hours weekly) with every other weekend; benefits and on-site support are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Minimum of six months of applicable experience preferred.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Serv Safe may be required depending on location.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) may be required depending on location.
• Valid Driver's License may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, season and portion food for residents and staff.
• Follow menu and dietary guidelines; maintain sanitation.
• Maintain labeling and storage of food and equipment.
• Document HACCP steps and temperatures as required.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely.
• Work independently when necessary.
• Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication with internal customers.
