Job summary

Good Samaritan Society in Howard Lake, MN is seeking a part-time cook for evening shifts. You will prepare and serve meals for patients, residents, staff, and visitors, following dietary requirements and HACCP guidelines.

The role requires basic math, reading/writing, and good teamwork to coordinate with hospital staff. The position offers evening shifts from 3:00pm to 7:00pm, with every other Friday, Saturday and Sunday plus one extra day per week, totaling 20 hours per two-week pay period.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of six months of applicable experience preferred.
• Serv Safe may be required to obtain within a designated time frame.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) may be required depending upon location requirements.
• Valid Driver's License may be required depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, assemble baked goods, cooks, seasons and portions food for patients/residents, staff, and visitors of the designated facility, preparing and serving food within guidelines of menu and dietary requirements.
• Adheres to food quality standards of appearance, taste, temperature and sanitation.
• Operates equipment such as mixers, slicers, kettles, ovens, dishwashers and related kitchen gear.
• Maintains labeling and storage of food, equipment, and machinery and follows HACCP guidelines.
