Job summary

Milestone is hiring a Director of Culinary Services to lead all aspects of the Culinary Service Department and dining room operations. You will report to the Executive Director and ensure high-quality meals, safe handling, and exceptional dining experiences for residents. The role includes managing staff, controlling costs, and adhering to special diets and safety standards.

Starting wage is $22 per hour. You’ll help plan menus, supervise purchasing, and maintain compliance with health

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• ServSafe Certification required; may need local licenses.
• Two years of continuing education preferred.
• Experience in food service and staff management is expected.
• Compassion for and desire to work with older adults.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coach staff in the Culinary Department.
• Follow the community Menu Program and purchasing practices.
• Prepare meals meeting residents' preferences and safety standards.
• Maintain proper food temperatures, storage, and equipment usage.
• Ensure resident satisfaction during meal service.
• Provide input on hiring, training, and staff development.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining area.
• Adhere to sanitation, culinary, and safety guidelines.
