Cogir Senior Living in Spokane, WA is looking for a dedicated Cook to prepare fresh, nutritious meals for residents, staff, and guests. You'll work with our culinary director to craft menus ranging from traditional comfort foods to global options, using fresh local ingredients.

The ideal candidate has a year of kitchen experience, strong knife skills, and an ability to read recipes and follow dietary guidelines for seniors. Flexible shifts and a supportive team environment await.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year in a full-service kitchen, cooking from scratch.
• Knowledge of kitchen equipment and knife handling.
• Awareness of dietary restrictions for seniors is a plus.
• Ability to read and execute a recipe.
• Experience with large-batch meal preparation.
• Creative culinary skills are advantageous.
• Experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality is desirable.
• Flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals following established menus and dietary guidelines.
• Set up and break down work areas in a timely fashion.
• Keep all stations clean and sanitized.
• Collaborate with dining services for timely meal service.
• Check and restock all foods for proper service.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Participate in required training, including food handling and safety.
• Ensure proper handling and storage of cleaning supplies.
• Aid in all kitchen operations as needed.
