Job summary

Cogir Senior Living in the United States is seeking a friendly Cook for our community restaurant. You will prepare fresh, nutritious meals for residents, staff, and guests, working with the culinary director to craft menus from traditional comfort foods to global flavors, using seasonal, local ingredients.

We focus on scratch cooking, quality service, and safety. The ideal candidate has 1+ year kitchen experience, a Food Handler Card, and flexibility for weekends and holidays in a senior living

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Culinary education is a plus, or equivalent experience in a kitchen.
• Food Handler Card and knowledge of kitchen sanitation are expected.

Responsibilities

• Be part of a compassionate and high-performing team serving residents daily.
• Prepare and cook meals following established menus, dietary and sanitary guidelines.
• Set up and break down work areas in a timely fashion.
• Keep stations clean and sanitized throughout shifts.
• Collaborate with dining services to ensure timely meal service.
• Check and restock foods to ensure proper service.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal health and safety regulations.
• Participate in required food handling and safety trainings.
• Ensure safe storage and handling of cleaning supplies and chemicals.
• Aid in all kitchen operations as needed.
