Job summary

Primrose Retirement Communities is hiring a cook to provide residents and guests with a pleasant dining experience through high-quality, nutritious meals prepared in a sanitary kitchen. Responsibilities include following recipes, assisting with menu development, and supporting inventory and ordering under the Dining Director/Executive Chef.

The role emphasizes teamwork, flexibility with residents and guests, and adherence to written and oral instructions, with opportunities for part-time or PRN

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience required.
• Sanitation certification (ServSafe) or plan to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Must be flexible and accommodating to residents and guests.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Must be a solid worker with a positive attitude and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Follows written recipes and prepares high quality, nutritious meals.
• Assists in developing menus and special meals per daily prep list.
• Supports Dining Director/Executive Chef with inventory and ordering.
• Keeps a clean, sanitary workspace and handles dish duties.
• Cooks using methods including baking, frying, salad prep, sautéing, and short-order cooking.
