Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living is hiring a Cook to prepare high-quality meals in a senior living community. You will follow menus, ensure proper temperatures, and accommodate dietary needs under the Dining Services Director's guidance.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or equivalent, 1 year cooking experience, and Food Manager Certification or ability to obtain. CPR/BLS is a plus, and proficiency with common software and EHR systems is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least one (1) year experience as a cook is preferred.
• Applicable state/county licensure required.
• Food Manager Certification, or ability to obtain, is required.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, web-based platforms, electronic health record systems, and HR-related systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion foods according to menu cycles and recipes.
• Taste foods to ensure quality and adjust as needed.
• Accommodate special dietary needs as directed by the Dining Services Director.
• Coordinate meal production with serving hours and inventory needs.
• Assist with training new kitchen staff and maintain temperature logs.
