Job summary

Holiday by Atria - Walnut Woods is seeking a Cook to prepare nutritious meals for residents in a welcoming dining services team. You will follow Holiday recipes, manage portion control, and ensure safe, timely meal service.

Responsibilities include overseeing cart setup, food safety, and maintaining logs. The role emphasizes resident satisfaction, cleanliness, and supporting a smooth kitchen operation in a senior living community.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in industry or full-service restaurant cooking.
• Ability to prepare and follow Holiday recipes.
• Effective communication in English and excellent customer service skills.
• General knowledge of and ability to conform to sanitation and safe food handling practices.
• Basic Computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious meals for residents following Holiday menus and recipes.
• Oversee preparation and setup of serving carts for timely meals.
• Follow food safety, labeling, dating, and storage procedures.
• Complete logs for refrigeration, freezing and production sheets.
• Adhere to Holiday sanitation standards across kitchen areas.
• Address resident feedback and resolve food-related issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
