Job summary

Timbers of Jasper is seeking a part-time Cook to join American Senior Communities' culinary team. You will follow recipes, prepare nutritious meals for residents, and help maintain sanitation standards in a busy kitchen.

This role leads kitchen staff in food preparation, tray assembly, and storage, while ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Prior healthcare or institutional food service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic sanitation/safe food handling knowledge preferred.
• Experience in cooking for residents or institutional dining is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and prepares meals meeting residents’ nutritional needs.
• Cooks or prepares palatable, nutritionally adequate meals in required quantities.
• Leads kitchen staff with food preparation, tray assembly, and storage of supplies and equipment.
• Maintains a clean food service work area during service.
• Handles, stores, and disposes of food in compliance with procedures and regulations.
