Job summary

Timbers of Jasper is seeking a Cook to join our culinary team at ASC, focused on preparing and serving nutritious meals for residents while adhering to high sanitation and safety standards.

You will follow menus, lead food preparation activities, and ensure clean, safe work areas. Prior institutional/healthcare dining experience and sanitation certification are preferred but not always required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; or 1–3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent.
• Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling preferred, unless required by state/federal agencies.
• Prior Institutional and/or Healthcare service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows recipes and prepares food that meets residents’ nutritional needs.
• Cooks or prepares palatable, nutritious meals in required quantities.
• Leads kitchen staff with food preparation, assembling trays, cleaning, and storage of supplies and equipment.
• Maintains a clean food service work area during food preparation and service.
• Handles, stores, and disposes of food supplies in accordance with procedures and regulations.
