Job summary

Cedarhurst Senior Living seeks a Cook to prepare high-quality, nutritious meals and support dining service standards within the community. You will ensure dietary accommodations, maintain safety and proper temperatures, and contribute to a welcoming, resident-focused environment.

You will collaborate with the Dining Services Director and kitchen team to uphold culinary excellence, supervise food handling, and assist with training while following Cedarhurst guidelines and infection control

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 1 year experience as a cook is preferred.
• Applicable state/county licensure required.
• Food Manager Certification, or ability to obtain, is required.
• CPR or BLS certification preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, web-based platforms, EHR systems, and HR-related systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare foods according to menu cycles and standardized recipes.
• Taste and determine food quality and safety.
• Accommodate special dietary needs as directed by the Dining Services Director.
• Assist with training and orientation of new kitchen staff.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
