Job summary

Hayesville House is seeking an experienced Cook to join our culinary team and provide nutritious, high-quality meals to residents. You will prepare meals according to menus and dietary requirements, ensure timely service, and maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen environment.

Collaborating with the Dietary Manager and kitchen staff, you will support inventory control and accommodate resident preferences while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in senior living, healthcare, or restaurant preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to follow recipes and meal plans.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to menus and dietary requirements.
• Serve meals timely with quality and presentation.
• Maintain clean, sanitary kitchen environment and proper storage.
• Collaborate with Dietary Manager and kitchen staff; train new staff as needed.
• Assist with inventory and report shortages.
• Respond to special dietary requests and resident preferences.
