Cogir Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Cook for our Gilbert community. You will prepare fresh, nutritious meals for residents, staff, and guests, working with the culinary director to craft a quarterly seasonal menu using local ingredients.

The role emphasizes scratch cooking, world-inspired options, and a commitment to exceptional service for seniors. Full-time schedule includes Saturdays through Wednesdays 10:30am-7pm, with Thursdays and Fridays off.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Culinary School is a plus.
• Food Handler Card with understanding of kitchen sanitation and food codes.
• 1 year of experience in full-service kitchen, with recipes and from-scratch cooking.
• Ability to read and execute recipes.
• Proficiency in preparing a variety of meals, including large-batch cooking.
• Experience in senior living, healthcare, or hospitality settings is desirable.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals following established menus, recipes, dietary and sanitary guidelines.
• Set up and break down work areas in a timely fashion.
• Keep all stations clean and sanitized.
• Collaborate with the dining services team to ensure timely meal service.
• Check and restock all foods for proper service.
• Adhere to health and safety regulations.
• Participate in required training sessions, including food handling and safety certifications.
