Job summary

The Mather in Evanston is seeking a full-time Concierge and Service Attendant to blend front desk duties with resident support, event setup, and community engagement. You’ll welcome residents, answer calls, coordinate services, and help with programming, transportation, and safety.

The role emphasizes hospitality, relationship-building, and multitasking in a dynamic, resident-focused environment, with AV setup and event support integral to daily operations.

Qualifications

• Willingness to be part of a self-directed team.
• Service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills; ability to multi-task.
• Ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot audiovisual (AV) equipment and technology to support resident events, educational programs, community meetings, and special events.
• MS Office proficiency and work order software systems.
• Ability to prioritize and organize multiple demands on time and projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate concierge schedule and daily responsibilities.
• Maintain systems for keys, key cards, and distribution across centers.
• Provide administrative support for directories, handbooks, safety procedures, and calendars.
• Respond to resident concerns, guide to solutions, and ensure positive experiences.
• Assist with transportation reservations and package handling.
• Occasionally back up concierge desk and assist with events and AV setups.
