Job summary

Phoenix3 Collective is seeking a Baker for a premier senior living community site in Virginia. You will prepare breads, pastries, desserts, and baked goods, following recipes and dietary guidelines to deliver consistent, high-quality products for residents, patients, and guests.

You will work with the culinary team to adapt items for special diets, decorate for events, and maintain a clean, sanitary bakery area while meeting production schedules and FIFO labeling standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of baking experience in a commercial setting
• Working knowledge of baking techniques, measurements, and recipe scaling
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
• ServSafe Certification preferred or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire
• Ability to read and follow recipes and production sheets

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake breads, rolls, muffins, cakes, pies, cookies, and other desserts from scratch and from established recipes
• Follow standardized recipes, portion guidelines, and production schedules to meet daily menu needs
• Adapt baked goods for therapeutic and special diets as directed
• Decorate and present items for special events and resident celebrations
• Maintain a clean, organized bakery area per food safety standards
• Label, date, and store ingredients and finished products using FIFO
• Monitor inventory and communicate needs to the Chef or Culinary Director
• Operate and care for bakery equipment (mixers, ovens, etc.)
• Support other kitchen stations and team members as needed
