Job summary

Integral Senior Living is seeking an upbeat Activity Assistant to lead arts, crafts, games, fitness, and social activities for seniors in our California communities. The Vibrant Life Assistant will drive the community van, supervise residents on outings, and support Vibrant Life activities with safety and care at the forefront.

Ideal candidates are organized, energetic, and passionate about enriching residents’ lives, with a minimum of 3 years in activities and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age due to driving requirement.
• High school education. Valid Class of Driver’s License required by state for vehicle/van capacity.
• Prefer minimum of two years experience driving a vehicle/van. Prefer experience with elderly and dementia residents.

Responsibilities

• Operate property vehicle/van safely for daily outings and medical appointments.
• Assist with the safe loading of residents onto/off of the vehicle/van.
• Follow all state and federal laws when operating the vehicle/van. Comply with standards and processes of vehicle/van inspection and driving.
• Train community staff on loading/unloading of the vehicle/van and wheelchair lift usage.
• Performs other duties consistent with Vibrant Life Director guidance.
