Job summary

Integral Senior Living (ISL) proudly manages care and lifestyle-focused communities across California, offering Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care. The Vibrant Life Assistant will ensure safe driving of the community van and supervise residents during outings, while assisting Vibrant Life activities within the property.

The role includes planning and leading activities, coordinating events, and providing support for a positive resident experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old due to driving requirement.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Prefer two years of vehicle/van driving experience, and experience with elderly or dementia residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and overseeing resident activities.
• Lead engaging and uplifting exercise classes.
• Plan and conduct programs for physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual opportunities for residents.
• Coordinate events from setup to breakdown.
• Maintain communication with the team and residents.
• Assist with safe loading/unloading of residents during outings.
• Support marketing efforts through friendly interaction and tours.

The Vibrant Life® Assistant is responsible for ensuring safe driving of the community’s van and supervision of the residents during property outings. The Vibrant Life® Assistant will also assist carrying out Vibrant Life® activities within the property, as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and oversight of resident activities.
• Must be able to lead engaging and uplifting exercise class
• Plan, schedule and conduct programs that provide physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual opportunities for our residents in our community.
• Attend all community planned functions and help coordinate the event from beginning to end including set-up, running, and breaking down for the event.
• Assist in preparing and organizing a calendar of events.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours (evenings and every other weekend) for planned activity events.
• Operate property vehicle/van safely for daily outings and medical appointments when needed
• Assist with the safe loading of property residents’ on to and off of property vehicle/van as needed
• Assist with planned property Vibrant Life® activities and programs within the community between vehicle/van trips.
• Maintain communication with the property through use of the cell phone. Keep cell phone charged and on during the workday.
• Provide support to community’s marketing efforts through positive/friendly interaction during all property tours and telephone contact with the public, and as directed by a supervisor.
• Communicate any observed or suspected resident change of condition to a supervisor immediately.
• Perform day-to-day clerical work connected with the position.Attend all scheduled in-service classes.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
• Support a positive and professional image through actions and dress.
• Performs other duties consistent with the position as assigned by the Vibrant Life® Director.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age due to driving requirement and auto carrier’s age restrictions.
• High school education. Valid Class of Driver’s License required by state for vehicle/van capacity.
• Prefer minimum of two years experience driving a vehicle/van. Prefer experience with elderly and dementia residents.
