Job summary

Three Springs Senior Living & Rehabilitation in Chester, IL is seeking an energetic Activity Director to create engaging programs for residents. This full-time role involves planning activities, coordinating calendars, and fostering social engagement.

You will work closely with nursing and administration, track documentation, and help maintain a welcoming atmosphere. Starting pay is $16.00/hour, with advancement after the course completion.

Qualifications

• Energetic, dependable, creative, and organized
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Enjoys working with seniors and bringing people together
• Previous experience in activities, recreation, senior living, or long-term care is preferred
• Must be willing to complete the 36-Hour Activity Director Course if not already completed

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and lead engaging activities for residents
• Develop an activity calendar that offers a variety of social, recreational, creative, and educational opportunities
• Encourage resident participation and involvement
• Plan special events, celebrations, games, crafts, and group activities
• Get to know residents' interests and abilities to create meaningful programming
• Work closely with nursing, administration, and other departments
• Maintain required activity documentation and records
• Help create a fun, welcoming, and engaging atmosphere throughout the facility
