Job summary

Hcshiring is seeking an Activities Director to lead a vibrant activities program in an in-person senior care setting. You will design and direct engaging activities that promote physical, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual well-being for all residents, while coordinating with the facility team.

You will mentor volunteers, collaborate with staff, and ensure accurate documentation and compliance. A passion for elderly and disabled residents is essential, with flexible scheduling to support

Qualifications

• Degree or certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist, music therapist, or art therapist.
• NCCAP certification accepted as alternative.
• Two years in a social or recreational program within five years, including one year full-time in a resident activities program in a healthcare setting.
• State-approved training course completed or willing to complete within six months.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and implement engaging activity programs for all residents.
• Provide targeted support to physically, emotionally, and cognitively impaired individuals and families.
• Develop and manage a network of volunteers to enrich community life.
• Maintain documentation and ensure program compliance as part of facility leadership.
