Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living in Bedford, NH is seeking an Activity Director to coordinate, implement, and evaluate our assisted living program to enhance residents' experiences. The role involves developing relationships with residents, families, and community organizations, and overseeing activity staff and transportation teams.

The position is Monday–Friday with a Manager on Duty rotation. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required, and a strong background in senior programming and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and knowledge of aging and disability issues.
• Experience developing programs appropriate for elders and disabled individuals.
• Management and leadership experience.
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
• Experience in Microsoft Office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implements events and programs to enhance the assisted living experience and improve resident quality of life.
• Evaluates programs to ensure quality meets residents' needs.
• Develops a seven-day-a-week activity program that is engaging for all residents.
• Monthly family-centered programming to promote participation and ease of scheduling.
• Leads one-on-one, small group, and large group programming per schedule.
• Supports and directs independent program pursuits for individuals and groups.
• Views all aspects of care as activity and supports residents’ abilities.
• Produces monthly newsletter/calendar and daily activity calendar timely for Benchmarks site.
• Manages programming staff, including transportation and the community van driver.
