Job summary

The Ivy Berkeley, a premier senior living community, seeks an Activity Assistant to organize and promote activities and excursions for residents. The role supports independence and quality of life through engaging programs and events.

Responsibilities include coordinating volunteers, communicating with residents and families, and maintaining a safe, enjoyable atmosphere. Requires a valid Class C license with Passenger Endorsement and basic MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred 1 year of experience coordinating activities with seniors.
• Requires current Class C license with Passenger Endorsement.
• Proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Must pass Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests.

Responsibilities

• Assist Activity Director in creating a engaging, safe social atmosphere across the Community.
• Recruit, manage and schedule Community Volunteers as needed.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment following safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles when required.
• Encourage teamwork across departments.
