Job summary

The Lakes Senior Living is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the Life Enrichment team in planning, preparing, and facilitating meaningful activities for residents in Assisted Living and Memory Care. The role focuses on creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment to promote physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being.

Qualifications

• Experience with seniors in Assisted Living or Memory Care is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work as part of a care team and maintain professional boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate daily activities for Assisted Living and Memory Care residents.
• Engage residents individually and in groups while honoring preferences.
• Prepare activity spaces, materials, and schedules for programs.
• Support memory care initiatives with dementia-appropriate activities.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and organization of activity areas.
• Document resident participation and report changes to supervisors.
