Job summary

Harmony Senior Living in Avon, Indiana is seeking a Life Enrichment Activities Assistant to support the Life Enrichment Director by designing and implementing a wide range of recreational and educational programs for Independent Living and Assisted Living residents.

You will lead daily programs, survey residents for interests, coordinate with the program team, promote activities, recruit volunteers, and assist with transportation and outings, contributing to a high level of resident and family

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or relevant experience; 1–3 years preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Flexible, imaginative and passionate about working with seniors.
• Experience organizing, conducting and planning programs and activities.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must be in good physical condition and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a monthly program of activities aligned with wellness themes.
• Lead 6–7 high quality programs per day.
• Survey residents to document interests and satisfaction with activities.
• Coordinate with the program team to plan calendars, events and outings.
• Build relationships with residents and families to promote participation.
• Document and maintain required records; assist with resident council meetings.
• Organize, maintain and stage programming areas and supplies.
• Recruit and oversee a robust volunteer program.
• Promote programs with notices and posters.
• Arrange chairs, tables and equipment; assist transportation for activities and outings.
