Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Life Enrichment Activities Assistant to support the Life Enrichment Director in creating engaging programs for our Independent Living and Assisted Living neighborhoods.

You will lead several daily activities, coordinate with the program team, and work to improve resident participation and satisfaction through well-planned events and well-documented records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or experience; 1–3 years in activities preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, holidays.
• Must be in good physical condition and able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Experience organizing, conducting, and planning programs and activities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with designing, creating, initiating, facilitating, and implementing a wide variety of programs for IL/AL neighborhoods.
• Lead 6–7 high quality programs per day.
• Survey residents to tailor activities to interests and satisfaction.
• Coordinate with LED, HSD, and HS assistant to plan calendars and events.
• Develop relationships with residents and families to promote participation.
• Document and maintain records; organize resident council meetings.
• Arrange programming areas, supplies, and equipment; ensure neat setup.
• Recruit, coordinate, and oversee a robust volunteer program.
• Promote programs with notices and posters; assist with transportation to activities.
• Coordinate and accompany off-site outings for residents.
