Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Avon, Indiana is looking for a Life Enrichment Activities Assistant to support the Life Enrichment Director in designing and delivering a wide range of meaningful recreational and educational programs for Independent Living and Assisted Living residents.

You will develop a monthly calendar, lead 6–7 programs daily, survey residents to tailor activities, coordinate with the entire program team, recruit volunteers, promote events, and arrange transportation and setup.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; state requirements may apply.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Flexible, imaginative, and passionate about working with seniors.
• Experience planning and coordinating activity programs.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Develops monthly activity plans based on residents' interests and Harmony signature programs.
• Leads 6–7 high-quality programs per day.
• Surveys residents to determine interests and satisfaction with programs.
• Coordinates with the program team to plan calendars, events, and outings.
• Develops relationships with residents and families to encourage participation and satisfaction.
• Organizes and maintains programming areas and supplies, and attends resident council meetings.
