Job summary

Fellowship Square in Surprise, AZ is seeking an Activities Director to design and oversee engaging programs that support residents’ well-being. You will lead a team of staff, volunteers, and drivers while collaborating with Memory Support Coordinators.

The role requires strong leadership, 5 years’ experience with senior activities, and excellent communication. You will drive newsletters, calendars, events, and ensure safe operations with budget oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; experience in senior care may substitute.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with senior activities.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
• Compassionate, energetic, and self-directed.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• A valid driver’s license and willingness to drive company vehicles as needed.
• Tech-savvy and capable of using basic design or word processing software for newsletters/calendars.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all activity programs for Assisted Living residents, including transportation for off-site events.
• Prepare resident activity assessments to tailor programs to their interests.
• Supervise activities staff, drivers, and volunteers.
• Design monthly newsletters and calendars for Assisted Living and Memory Support.
• Plan and promote community events, seminars, and special celebrations.
• Ensure safe and efficient use of spaces, equipment, and transportation.
• Maintain budget oversight and track department expenditures.
• Keep residents informed and engaged through posters, bulletin boards, and digital communications.
• Serve as a shining example of Fellowship Square’s values and mission.
