Job summary

Ivy Park at Milpitas, a premier senior living community, seeks an Activity Director to plan and lead engaging programs for residents. You will schedule, budget, promote activities, and coordinate volunteers to enhance independence and quality of life.

Ideal candidates are 21+, have a high school diploma, hold a valid Class C (passenger endorsement preferred), and bring at least 1 year of activity experience with flexibility for evenings and weekends; MS Office proficiency and background health

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Requires Class C license; Class B or C with Passenger Endorsement preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience planning activities for residents.
• Prefer 1 year supervising employees and volunteers.
• Flexible schedule including holidays, evenings, weekends.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint).
• Pass background check and health screening, TB tests.

Responsibilities

• Provide a creative, rewarding social atmosphere and promote resident participation.
• Lead activities and encourage participation in events and excursions.
• Recruit, develop and schedule Activity Assistants, Drivers, and volunteers.
• Maintain a safe, secure environment following safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork across departments.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
