Job summary

Harpers Station of Yorktown seeks an organized Activities Coordinator to plan and lead engaging resident programs. You will develop a monthly calendar, interact with residents with empathy, and coordinate events for families and staff.

The role includes assisting with daily living activities when needed, transporting residents on outings, and mentoring volunteers while maintaining safety and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 1–2 years related experience and/or training preferred.
• Ability to read safety rules, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Responsibilities

• Creates and adheres to a monthly activity calendar.
• Speaks to and interacts with residents with empathy and respect.
• Coordinates special events for residents, families and staff.
• Transports and supervises residents on outings and doctor visits.
• Screens, recruits, trains, and coordinates volunteers.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment for residents.
• Provides staff training and guidance to meet performance standards.
• Acts as facilitator and takes minutes at resident council meetings.
• Reports health and emotional changes to the supervisor.
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living as needed.
