Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living is seeking a full-time Resident/Program Assistant to support the Program Director in executing Resident Programs across the Sweet Memories and Assisted Living areas.

The role focuses on engaging residents, promoting safety, and creating a holistic social environment, with responsibilities including event planning, transportation support, and calendar management.

Qualifications

• Education or training in a health care field or certified as an activity professional by a recognized accrediting body (preferred).
• Two years’ experience in activity planning for seniors preferred.
• Experience working with seniors and those with memory loss strongly preferred.
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively; follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Program Director with planning, developing and preparing a range of social, recreational and educational events.
• Assist with transportation and resident outings.
• Contribute to producing the monthly community calendar.
• Maintain documentation and resident attendance through digital programs.
• Promote a warm, welcoming atmosphere and good teamwork among staff.
• Drive the community van safely and have a clean driving record.
