Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living in Charlottesville, VA seeks an Activity Assistant to support the Resident Programs team by planning and executing social and physical events for residents. You will also provide transportation as needed and assist the Program Director in daily activities.

Qualifications

High school diploma required; college experience preferred.
Two years’ experience in activities strongly preferred.
Strong computer skills and general healthcare knowledge.
Must have a clear and insurable driving record and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Assist Resident Programs team with planning, developing, and preparing a variety of activities and events.
Conduct transportation for residents, including medical transportation.
Maintain knowledge of community events and incorporate into activity schedules.
Establish a warm, welcoming atmosphere for residents and staff.
Promote teamwork and monitor activities with other disciplines as necessary.
Evaluate quality of activities and adjust as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
