Job summary

IVY AT HAWAII KAI, a premier senior living community, is hiring an Activities Assistant to organize, promote, and direct resident activities and excursions, enhancing independence and quality of life.

The role supports the Activity Director to create a dynamic social atmosphere, recruit volunteers, and ensure safety. Requires high school diploma, 1 year coordinating or teaching activities with seniors preferred, and ability to use MS Office; valid license preferred. Full-time, Tue-Sat shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer one year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors.
• Requires current Class C license; preferred Class B or C with Passenger Endorsement.
• Able to operate a PC and be proficient in MS Office programs.
• Must pass Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Activity Director in providing an engaging social atmosphere and promote resident participation through varied activities.
• Develop, recruit, manage, and schedule Community Volunteers as requested.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, staff, and supervisors.
• Maintain a safe environment following established safety standards.
• Able to drive Community vehicles.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with staff and departments.
