Job summary

AEG Presents in Austin is seeking a Manager Production to lead all production aspects of assigned events, overseeing budgets, logistics, and vendor coordination to ensure top-tier execution and client satisfaction.

You will manage day-to-day show operations, recruit and supervise production staff, and coordinate with venue, artists, and clients while maintaining cost controls and schedule compliance.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree (4-year) in a related field.
• 4-6 years of related professional experience.
• Interpreting event contracts and developing accurate production budgets.
• Prior experience in the music industry.
• Working knowledge of technical aspects of concert and live event production.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve logistical and technical challenges, including staging, lighting, and sound.
• Strong ability to create, manage, and maintain event production budgets.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Previous management experience with emphasis on conflict resolution and team leadership.
• Performs well under pressure and thrives in fast-paced environments.
• Highly flexible and able to work long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical contact/liaison for the venue and determine production capabilities and costs for each event.
• Advance and coordinate all technical aspects of events, including artist/client logistics and production rentals.
• Manage show budgets, track expenses, and ensure budget adherence.
• Communicate advance information to all parties and confirm details.
• Oversee day-of-show production and coordinate departments for smooth operations.
• Prepare and present production expenses for settlement; assist in show settlements.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise production staff and manage payroll.
• Maintain and safeguard venue technical assets with preventative maintenance schedules.
