Job summary

AEG in Austin, TX is seeking a Manager Production to lead production planning and execution for assigned events. You will coordinate budgets, vendor relations, artist requirements, and day-of-show operations to ensure seamless delivery and client satisfaction.

The role demands strong leadership, contract interpretation, and the ability to manage complex logistics, staffing, and schedules, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in a related field.
• 4–6 years of related professional experience.
• Experience interpreting event contracts and developing accurate production budgets.
• Prior experience in the music industry.
• Working knowledge of technical aspects of concert and live event production.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve logistical and technical challenges, including staging, lighting, and sound.
• Strong ability to create, manage, and maintain event production budgets.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn additional business systems.
• Previous management experience with an emphasis on conflict resolution and team leadership.
• Performs well under pressure and thrives in fast-paced environments.
• Highly flexible and able to work long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical contact/liaison for the venue.
• Advance and coordinate all technical aspects of events including artist/client logistics, production rentals, stage labor, parking, runners, security, hospitality needs and preparation of day of show schedule.
• Advance all aspects within the terms and budget parameters of artist/client contract.
• Negotiate solutions to obstacles ensuring contract and budget adherence. Track/document all production expenses.
• Communicate the advance information in a timely manner to all personnel, vendors, and artist contacts.
• Oversee day of show production from load in through load out. Resolve production issues and supervise staff.
• Prepare/present all production expenses for settlement.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring and training of production staff; supervise and evaluate production staff.
• Maintain and safeguard the technical assets of the venue through preventive maintenance schedules.
• May be responsible for production management/promoter representation at other locations or projects.
