Job summary

Nautilus Insurance Group, part of W. R. Berkley Corporation, is seeking a Senior Litigation Specialist in Phoenix/Scottsdale area.

The role oversees advanced-level, primarily litigated, commercial general liability losses in a paperless environment. The position can be located in Scottsdale, AZ, or remote for a highly qualified candidate. Responsibilities include loss assignments, reserving, coverage interpretation, and coordinating with outside counsel and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of insurance experience with strong background in general liability claims examination and coverage analysis.
• Proficient in Word, Excel and E-mail (Windows).
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or regulations.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and sets up new loss assignments promptly per guidelines and best practices.
• Establishes initial loss and expense reserves and reviews file adequacy regularly.
• Analyzes policy language with loss facts to reach coverage decisions.
• Drafts complex coverage correspondence including reservations of rights and disclaimers.
• Mentions outside vendors, including defense and coverage counsel, etc. and manages related costs.
• Mentions timely reports and large loss reporting.
• Maintains licenses and renewals as required.
