A degree in business, insurance, or risk management and proven claims experience are required. The role emphasizes collaboration, budget oversight of outside counsel, and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, insurance or risk management.
• High School diploma required.
• Experience handling insurance claims.
• Proficiency in civil procedure basics and regulatory understanding.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours and weekends.
• Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own complex litigated claims for auto and homeowners matters.
• Provide direction to defense counsel and shape claim strategy.
• Assess settlements, set authority, and negotiate outcomes.
• Create discovery plans and manage expers and IMEs.
• Review liability, damages, coverage, and risk for settlements.
• Present recommendations to management and manage outside counsel budget.
• Travel as needed and engage in remote collaboration.
