Job summary

Kay Search Group is seeking a Senior Litigation Paralegal & Operations Coordinator in New York. The role combines senior paralegal duties with operational leadership for the paralegal team in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will mentor staff, manage high-stakes litigation matters, supervise onboarding, and ensure strict adherence to court rules and firm procedures, while supporting attorneys at hearings and trials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal certificate required.
• 7+ years of litigation paralegal experience in large firm settings preferred.
• Strong knowledge of litigation processes, court rules, and judges’ practices.

Responsibilities

• Mentor paralegals on workload prioritization, case management, and best practices.
• Lead onboarding and training of new paralegals and reinforce workflows and standards.
• Coordinate and implement case assignments with management, distributing work effectively.
• Manage complex litigation matters across all phases, including drafting, filing, and preparing legal documents for hearings, trials, and depositions.
• Oversee discovery and document production, including privilege logs and coordination with vendors.
• Prepare attorneys for trials and hearings, handling exhibits, witness kits, and logistical support.
• Maintain case calendars and track deadlines for all matters, ensuring compliance with court rules and internal procedures.
