Job summary

Lawson Huck Gonzalez, PLLC is seeking an experienced paralegal to join our Coral Gables office. The role supports multiple attorneys in a fast-paced, multi-office firm, demanding organization, responsiveness, and ownership of work.

The ideal candidate will independently manage competing priorities, anticipate attorney needs, and ensure deadlines, filings, and follow-up items are handled accurately and on time.

Qualifications

• Five years of paralegal experience, preferably in litigation.
• Experience filing documents in Florida state and federal courts.
• Strong understanding of litigation procedures, deadlines, and document formatting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating with multiple offices.

Responsibilities

• Manage attorney calendars, litigation deadlines, hearings, depositions, meetings, and other case-related commitments.
• Calculate, calendar, and monitor deadlines in state and federal matters.
• Draft, revise, proofread, and format correspondence, pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.
• Prepare and coordinate electronic filings in Florida state and federal courts.
• Organize and maintain electronic case files, pleadings, correspondence, discovery materials, and other matter-related documents.
• Assist with discovery, document production, deposition preparation, hearing preparation, and trial preparation.
• Monitor incoming court notices, correspondence, and other communications and ensure they are promptly routed and addressed.
• Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, vendors, and other parties.
• Coordinate service of process, court reporters, hearing materials, and other litigation-related logistics.
• Track assignments and follow up with attorneys and other team members to ensure matters continue moving forward.
• Provide additional case and administrative support as needed.
