Job summary

Barakat + Bossa, a growing U.S.-based law firm, seeks a Litigation Paralegal to support multiple attorneys handling complex civil matters in Coral Gables, FL. The role involves managing cases from inception through trial and coordinating with the team in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of litigation paralegal experience, strong trial support skills, and expertise with Florida e-filing. Knowledge of contracts and corporate legal work is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of litigation paralegal experience.
• Significant trial preparation and trial support experience.
• Extensive experience with Florida state and federal court e-filing and processes.
• Experience supporting multiple attorneys in a fast-paced litigation environment.
• Strong understanding of eDiscovery processes and familiarity with document review platforms.
• Strong legal drafting, proofreading, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of state and federal rules of civil procedure.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while balancing billable and administrative responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex litigation matters from inception through trial.
• Prepare cases for hearings, mediations, depositions, arbitrations, and trial.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• Prepare, review, and electronically file pleadings and other court documents in Florida state and federal courts.
• Monitor court dockets and ensure compliance with filing deadlines and court rules.
• Prepare trial exhibits, witness files, trial notebooks, demonstrative evidence, and other trial materials.
• Support multiple attorneys and practice groups while effectively managing changing priorities and assignments.
• Balance billable and non-billable responsibilities while maintaining productivity.
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, experts, and vendors.
• Assist with contracts and other legal projects as needed.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
