Job summary

BakerHostetler in Atlanta seeks an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys across the firm in a high-volume practice. The ideal candidate will assist through all phases of litigation, draft and file documents, manage case files, and coordinate filings in state and federal courts.

The role requires 5+ years in litigation paralegal work, a Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate, and proficiency in eDiscovery and litigation technology.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience, preferably in a law firm.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or Paralegal Certificate at a minimum; equivalent combination may substitute.
• Experience supporting complex commercial litigation, labor and employment litigation, or healthcare litigation preferred.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal court procedures, e-filing systems, and litigation workflows.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys through all phases of litigation including inception, discovery, trial prep, and post-trial activities.
• Draft, revise, and file pleadings, motions, subpoenas, notices, and other litigation documents.
• Manage and maintain case files and organize documents, exhibits, and evidence.
• Coordinate electronic and traditional filings in state and federal courts.
• Assist with written discovery and organize discovery materials.
• Conduct factual investigations, legal research, and background checks.
